The SR-8588-C can operate in CAV mode for CD discs, and can operate in CAV mode for DVD disc.
The SR-8588-C has audio circuits and analog and digital audio output in the integrated IF connector located on the rear of the drive, but does not have the ADPCM audio circuits.
CD-DA data can be transferred via IDE INTERFACE.
The outline mechanical dimensions of this drive are the industry standard 5¼ inch half height form factor.
Drive has a motor powered tray disc loading mechanism that can accept either a 120 mm {4.72 inch} or an 80 mm {3.15 inch} disc.
This drive can be mounted either horizontal or vertical orientations. (The 80 mm disc should be loaded on the drive that is mounted horizontal orientation).
